Cooperative Energy works with Accelerate MS to connect Mississippians to economic opportunity by expanding best practices in workforce readiness and career training to meet current and emerging employment opportunities.

Cooperative Energy is also an advocate of the national ACT WorkReady Communities program. This designation empowers counties and states with process, data, and tools deployed in a common workforce development framework to drive economic growth. Nearly all of Cooperative Energy’s service territory are certified WorkReady Communities. The common criteria are based upon the ACT WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate and business engagement to create a workforce development process that links, aligns, and matches the county’s workforce development efforts to the needs of business and industry.
