COOPERATIVE ENERGY APPOINTS GRACE AS NEW CFO

Kevin Grace is the Cooperative’s fifth CFO in its 81-year history

(Hattiesburg, Mississippi) Cooperative Energy recently named Kevin Grace as the organization’s new senior vice president/chief financial officer (CFO). Grace was promoted from within the organization’s finance department to the senior management team, making him only the fifth CFO in the company’s 81-year history.

 

In his new role, Grace is responsible for the development of the Cooperative’s financial plans and relationships with financial institutions, credit partners such as the USDA’s Rural Utilities Service, National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation, CoBank, and commercial and investment banks. He directs all aspects of Cooperative Energy’s accounting, budgeting, insurance, and finance functions, including ensuring compliance in each area under his direction. Additionally, as a member of the Cooperative’s senior management team, Grace is responsible for communicating the Cooperative’s financial activities and status to the Board of Directors, lenders, the credit rating agencies, and all external stakeholders.

 

Grace joined Cooperative Energy as director of treasury services in March 2010 and served as controller from June 2016 to December 2021, at which time he was appointed the Cooperative’s interim CFO. Prior to joining Cooperative Energy, Kevin worked in the banking, insurance, and public accounting industries.

 

Grace earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from Millsaps College and is a Certified Public Accountant. Grace is very active with the youth ministries at Main Street United Methodist Church in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He and his wife, Nicole, have four children, and reside in Petal, Mississippi.
